The sun shone brightly as the players teed off and the heat steadily built throughout the afternoon.

The course had plenty of run but it still was a challenging golfing experience on what was a beautiful day with wonderful views high on the moorland course.

The Greenlees team headed south today for their away game at Lanark Golf Club.

The wonderful summer weather continued with the temperatures hitting 25C in the afternoon.

A light breeze later helped to keep conditions a little more comfortable for all the players.

The greens were just as hot as the weather - lightning fast which made putting a great challenge.

Unfortunately the match resulted in a defeat for Greenock.

The final result Lanark 6 - Greenock 1.

Our first Greenlees game of the season was a trip down the Ayrshire coast to play at Ayr Bellisle.
