Gents Open 2026 Results

On Saturday 27th June, the Club proudly hosted another highly successful Gents Open, welcoming a strong field of competitors for a day of excellent golf and competitive scoring. Played as part of the Renfrewshire Golf Union Order of Merit, the event attracted both members and visiting golfers who enjoyed challenging conditions and an outstanding course condition.

Leading the way in the Net Competition and taking home the coveted trophy was Laurence Taylor, producing a superb net 62 to claim first place with an excellent performance. Close behind in second place was Robert Hossack, who delivered a strong round of net 64, while David Docherty secured third place net with a solid net 66.

The Best Visitor Score was awarded to Ryan McAulay of Greenock Whinhill, whose net 73 earned him top visitor honours and highlighted the competitive standard across the visiting field.

In the Gross Competition, Ricardo Di Murro produced the lowest gross score of the day with an impressive gross 70, taking first place. Finishing just one shot behind was Scott MacFarlane, whose excellent gross 71 secured place gross.

Congratulations to all the prize winners and thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the event another memorable occasion for the club. Appreciation goes to all the volunteers and staff whose work behind the scenes ensured the day ran smoothly.
