The Greenlees team had a short journey up the motorway for the first away match this season at Erskine Golf Club.

By the time the first matches teed off the wind had increased making it very gusty. Several heavy showers engulfed the course but soon the grey skies cleared, the wind died down and the sun came out making it feel rather warm. Some views of the course can be seen below.

The Greenlees season got underway today with a home match against Bothwell Castle Golf Club.

Sunny skies and a slight breeze made lovely conditions for golf. With hardly any rain in the last 10 days, the course had plenty of run but the greens were fast and tricky making the putting very difficult.

Greenock started the season with a victory.

The final score Greenock 5 Bothwell Castle 2.
